UGANDA @ SR404 Contemporary Art Gallery
My heart is full. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this experience. Uganda is such a huge part of who I am and to be able to show some of my beloved photographs for others to view is just ridiculously incredible. I’m so so soooo thankful to God for this marvelous opportunity.
SR404 Contemporary Art Gallery (located inside Stay True Tattoo Company) graciously invited Katie Snyder and I to show our photographs from Uganda for the month of May and our opening reception was this past First Friday. I was completely thrilled to see so many new and familiar faces come visit our show!! Seriously, to everyone who came out to say hey to us, THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION!!!! As if the evening wasn’t fabulous enough, Demon Waffle played some fantastic tunes for everyone right outside the shop making the night even better!
If you missed the opening night and would still like to see the show, it will be up the entire month of May! We would be honored if you’d check it out! And if it impacts you, I’d love to hear your thoughts! SR404 CAG – 404 South Roan Street, Johnson City, TN.
P.S. Huuuuuuge THANK YOUs to Sam Mays for all his help getting this show organized!! And a serious high five to Josh for hanging all of our art! It would have taken at least 3487 hours longer if he hadn’t come to the rescue.
P.P.S. Confession: I kinda feel like I could conquer the world in my 5″ DVF wedges. I need to wear those hott-tamale shoes more often. Plus, I not-so-secretly wish I were 6 feet tall. It would rule.
P.P.P.S. Here’s a little behind the scenes action of how sis and I made the burlap banner. At 4am. In the dark.
