eeeeek! i just LOVE this couple! megan’s dad grows lavender so we made sure to incorporate it into the session which I thought was just perfect and lovely! cannot wait for their September wedding!

Some of my favorite memories from when Joel and I were dating are of the Virginia Creeper Trail. It’s an incredible 33.4 mile bike/hiking/horse trail that follows an old train route. When Daniela explained that the trail meant a lot to them as a couple and asked if we could do their engagements there, I thought it was a GRAND idea! We found a little piece of the trail that wasn’t too busy and enjoyed shooting some pretty pictures. Their FABULOUS wedding was just a couple weeks after this session so I’ll be blogging that soon!!!

That last one’s pretty freaking adorable, right?!!! Loooooove it! It’s a little shaky because I think I was laughing and talking (no surprise there). These two precious people are seriously as cute as it gets. Can’t wait for their wedding in just a couple short weeks!!! Yay!

When I was 16 years old I taught merit badge classes and made PB+J’s at a Boy Scout camp in Whitesburg, TN. I worked there two summers and documented (almost) everything on film thanks to my faithful Nikon N8008. I literally went through a pazillion rolls of film. And like most summer camps, all the staff became friends. This is how I met Ryan.
Fast forward 10 years. Ryan emails me and writes, “I’m GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!” Let me just say, I am SO SO SO excited for them!! Unfortunately, I was unavailable to photograph their wedding but I was so thrilled when they asked me to come visit them in Chattanooga and take their engagements!! I hadn’t met Meghann before but, for real, she’s as sweet as it gets (and she likes Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream which makes her 100x more awesome in my book). Meghann + Ryan, thank you for showing me around Chattanooga and for letting me share this incredible time in your lives. I seriously couldn’t be happier for you both.
