I love to laugh. That's probably the first thing you should know about me. I love the joy and the treasure in a smile. Especially the smiles that make you scrunch up your nose, squint your eyes and laugh until your stomach hurts! I'm in love with every day life. My desire is to insure the photographs I take reflect that.
Growing up, my parents took close to 978,503 pictures of me and my siblings. I'm afraid to admit it but, I'm sure almost every embarrassing moment I've ever had is documented somewhere on film. When I was 12 years old, dad gave me his Nikon SLR. I went crazy! I have boxes and boxes of prints that I took from middle school through college. Needless to say, that's how all of this started. Even though my degree from East Tennessee State University is in Human Development & Learning, I enjoyed taking a number of art electives, just for fun. Most of my experience has come from trial and error as well as the years of photographing anyone who would let my camera near them.
My approach to photography is fairly simple. I just want you to be you.
When I shoot your family session, I want our time together to be relaxed and fun! I understand that a young child isn't going to sit still for long and I'm perfectly okay with that. In fact, I love it because it's real life! While photographing a wedding, I like to be unobtrusive, while still capturing the tender moments, kind expressions, and the love that you have for one another.
You'll find out even more about me on my blog.
You know, the good stuff like, how my husband is my best friend ever, yellow is definitely my favorite color, I wear Chaco sandals 90% of the year, and that without my Savior, Jesus Christ I would be absolutely nothing at all!
